What is your primary product or service?
We pride ourselves in having the finest in vertical entertainment. Our climbing walls are made for everyone from beginners to experts. Whatever your level you will have a great time at Higher Ground. We also offer outdoor guide services
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been climbing for the past 42 years, I love to teach others how to climb and really love helping people overcome fear. I am a liscensed guide and have been teaching for over 35 years
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We offer instruction in all aspects of climbing and mountaineering. We also offer artificial ice climbing and dry tooling for the vertically minded.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
just one and we are glad to keep our focus here as we expand or build improvements every year
What type of payments do you accept?
All credit cards, checks and of course, good ol' cash. We stopped taking Diners Club though so if you still have one in your wallet you may want to leave it home. We accept Krugerands the same as one dollar coins.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Frank Abissi is the CEO, otherwise known as El Capitan. the staff are all experienced climbers
What are your hours of operation?
Monday thru Friday 5pm-10pm, Saturday noon-1pm are our regular open hours. we open all other hours for groups by appt.
