How long have you been in business?
24 years. Open the door in March of 1994
What is your primary product or service?
Calibration and Metrology Services. The main products we sell are precision measurement instruments.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was exposed to it at a company I worked for in 1990 and thought Metrology was about the coolest profession I've ever seen. My background is Aviation Maintenance and Non-Destructive Testing.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Wider range of services. Gauge pick up and delivery services. Higher accuracies and faster lead times.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location. MetroCal continually expands it's local services and hopes to add two more divisions in the next 24 months. If the right opportunity comes up to expand into other area's we will do that as well.

75% of our revenue comes from West Michigan but our service area expands throughout the entire USA and we have a few customers in Mexico and Canada.

Kent Anderson, President (Owner & Operator)
What are your hours of operation?
Office hours are 8am to 5pm. MetroCal technicians are working around the clock based on work load.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
When they praise one of my personnel about how great of a job they did.

100% customer satisfaction - if we don't take care of our customers, somebody else will.
