Providing acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine at Holistic Care Approach.
Catherine dedicated herself to becoming a practitioner of Chinese medicine after experiencing the effectiveness of this ancient, holistic system of medicine for herself. She spent four years in Pacific College of Oriental Medicine’s rigorous master’s program – three years at Pacific’s Chicago campus and her final year at their San Diego campus. After graduating with her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine, she earned her acupuncture license from the state of California and also received certification as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Since returning to her hometown of Grand Rapids, Catherine has switched from licensure in California to becoming a Registered Acupuncturist in the state of Michigan. She is also a member of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Catherine specializes in the treatment of headaches and migraines, gastrointestinal disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis, and all types of pain management. She also has clinical experience in treating a wide range of other disorders such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, smoking cessation, menopause symptoms, sinus issues, fatigue, Bell’s Palsy, and PMS. In addition to acupuncture, other modalities Catherine provides are electro-acupuncture, cupping, guasha, Chinese herbal medicine and moxibustion.
