How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been a professional Mountain Guide since 1973. My education required a heavy emphasis and Mountain Medicine and High Angle Rescue. After completing the Wilderness EMT Training I decided that teaching Wilderness First Aid was a natural extension of what i do. because of this I started Emergency Care Training Services LLC.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Very few businesses teach Wilderness First Aid. Quite a few teach regular first aid but what makes us different is what to do when there is no doctor around and definitive medical care is more than 2 hours away.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We teach on site so its safe to say the world is our classroom. No real expansion plans beyond that...yet
